Usually, zlib comes preinstalled with most of the Amazon Linux images. But in case you get: bash: zlib: command not found then you need to install zlib on Amazon Linux 2.
Prerequisites
- Amazon Linux 2
- sudo privileges
Install Zlib on Amazon Linux 2
Step 1. Update the packages.
sudo yum update
Step 2. Install zlib.
sudo yum install qpdf
Step 3. Verify the installation.
zlib-flate --version
Output:
zlib-flate version 1.0
