If you are playing with JSON things then you may consider installing jq. It’s a simple JSON Processor which can help you to get the desired JSON output. Today I’m going to install jq on CentOS 9 Stream.
Prerequisites
- CentOS 9 Stream
- sudo privileges
Install jq on CentOS 9 Stream
Step 1. Install the EPEL Repository.
sudo yum install epel-release
Step 2. Update the packages.
sudo yum update
Step 3. Install jq.
sudo yum install jq
Step 4. Verify the installation.
jq --version
