Exim is a useful mail transfer agent easy to manage and set up. The installation process is easy as well, so let’s see how to install Exim on Amazon Linux 2.
Prerequisites
- Amazon Linux 2
- sudo privileges
Install Exim on Amazon Linux 2
Step 1. As a first step, update the Amazon Linux 2 system packages.
sudo yum update
Step 2. Install the EPEL repo.
amazon-linux-extras install epel
Step 3. Once EPEL is installed, install Exim.
sudo yum install exim
Step 4. Verify installation.
exim --version
Output:
Exim version 4.94.2
